Yes, wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling art! Every inch of our space features murals and works from local artists.
And if you see blank space, not to worry, next time you return it’s likely to be covered in local art.
Breakfast… that’s our World’s Longest Oatmeal Bar and it’s 100% on the house (and crafted with the same creativity as our murals).
Lunch or dinner? Well, we’ll likely have a great food truck onsite.
And… onsite, we’ve got one of the finest Mexican restaurants in town called “La Familia Mi Coco Loco”.
Glad you asked! The Ponderosa Motor Inn opened in 1970. Its owner, O.T. Tilley, of Big Spring, Texas, included a coffee shop,
restaurant, and… wait for it… a private club that was open until 1 a.m. on the weekends! More than 100 members joined the club
within 3 days of its opening.
The restaurant offered stuffed tenderloin, roast duck, early June peas, corn o’ brian, and blackberry cobbler. But they were most
known for their all-you-can-eat cat “filet of catfish” and hush puppies; reservations were required and the cost was $1.49.
Fresh, modern and full of Texan charm, our rooms feature king-size beds, local art, a Green Tea memory foam mattress,
firm and fluffy pillows, and blackout blinds for the perfect night's rest.
Of course! Dogs, quiet birds and goldfish are welcome, but unfortunately, no cats or venomous creatures.

We’re all about local authenticity! Everything here, from the art to the bar menu, reflects the local flavor, so you’ll feel like part of the community, not just a visitor. And when it comes to coffee or food, we’ve got you covered with our bar’s local brews and a list of must-try coffee spots and eateries around town!
We don’t build new hotels; we bring old ones back to life! Saving them from the landfill and reducing the need for new materials.
It also involves some pretty cool stuff. We’ve got rainwater catchment systems, bioswales, recyclable materials, solar panels and drought-tolerant plants all doing their part. It’s sustainability with style and a little nostalgia on the side!
