From the red roof inn to the George, we’ve stayed in all the hotels and air ba and b’s in college station with two Aggies. I’ve not ever written to say it was a wonderful stay until The Hotel MCCOY. It was perfect and from what I saw, in large part to Chase. We saw that young man doing everything. Literally, he was chef, laundress, desk clerk, delivery, maintenance, guest services, stocker, reception … with a professional attitude and positive demeanor. In addition, the price was right and amenities on point. I left thinking we will always stay here. There were also great little smiles and touches like the sign under the bed, bar, drinking water, huge TV in the room, and towels at the pool. Thanks for a great stay!
10 out of 10. My girlfriends and I came to College Station to celebrate some graduates and needed a last-minute place to stay. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The environment was so cute, the staff was incredibly kind, and Joanna and Grace made the experience even better. We truly couldn’t have had more fun. They make their drinks in-house and they were absolutely to die for. The oatmeal bar honestly saved my life the next morning (shout out chase), and the location was perfect for getting around town easily. Would absolutely stay here again!
I was so pleasantly surprised by this motel. I'd passed it many times without giving it a second thought. I enjoyed the colorful murals and decor inside and out, the unique decor in the lobby and rooms, the very comfortable 'tempurpedic' style beds, and the solid surface floors in the motel rooms. The games in the lobby and throughout the grounds makes this hotel unique and such a great place to hang out, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the oatmeal bar for breakfast with lots of unusual toppings (freeze fruits, chia seeds, marshmallow bits,...). They also had bagels/bread, pop tarts, cereal, almond and peanut butter and other toppings, coffee, and a nice tea selection (Harney & Sons) with oat/almond milks and half and half. These touches in decor, play areas, and in the quality of the breakfast are not cheap and I've not seen this in such a reasonably priced hotel. From now on, when we have family or friends visiting town, I will book them rooms here.

Breakfast… that’s our World’s Longest Oatmeal Bar and it’s 100% on the house (and crafted with the same creativity as our murals).
Lunch or dinner? Well, we’ll likely have a great food truck onsite.
And… onsite, we’ve got one of the finest Mexican restaurants in town called “La Familia Mi Coco Loco”.
Glad you asked! The Ponderosa Motor Inn opened in 1970. Its owner, O.T. Tilley, of Big Spring, Texas, included a coffee shop,
restaurant, and… wait for it… a private club that was open until 1 a.m. on the weekends! More than 100 members joined the club
within 3 days of its opening.
The restaurant offered stuffed tenderloin, roast duck, early June peas, corn o’ brian, and blackberry cobbler. But they were most
known for their all-you-can-eat cat “filet of catfish” and hush puppies; reservations were required and the cost was $1.49.
Fresh, modern and full of Texan charm, our rooms feature king-size beds, local art, a Green Tea memory foam mattress,
firm and fluffy pillows, and blackout blinds for the perfect night's rest.
Of course! Dogs, quiet birds and goldfish are welcome, but unfortunately, no cats or venomous creatures.

It also involves some pretty cool stuff. We’ve got rainwater catchment systems, bioswales, recyclable materials, solar panels and drought-tolerant plants all doing their part. It’s sustainability with style and a little nostalgia on the side!
